Current water and wastewater projects include a 16-inch water line project for the North Harris County Regional Water Authority, the rehabilitation of two lift stations for the City of League City, the rehabilitation of several sanitary sewer collection systems for our Municipal Utility Districts, the rehabilitation and expansion of two wastewater treatment plants, and the upgrades to numerous lift stations for the City of Sugar Land and multiple Utility Districts. SEC has also provided service to the City of Houston on an on-call basis for design of small diameter water lines and sanitary sewers. That particular project included sixty-two separate projects of varying length from a few hundred feet to thousands of feet with pipe diameters from 2-inch through 20-inch.

Sander Engineering Welcomes Rene Hurtado

Rene is a registered professional engineer (Texas License #124741) and has over 8 years of experience in the infrastructure design and construction field. His experience ranges from water and wastewater to structural related engineering services and applied towards designing, planning, estimating, and supervising. He has worked in various infrastructure projects including the design of lift stations, booster pump stations, ground storage facilities, water lines, sanitary sewers, and wastewater treatment facilities. He has also been involved in transportation projects requiring the design of structural members for bridges and the evaluation of the distress condition in roadways. Rene obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Upon completion of his Master’s Degree, Mr. Hurtado moved to Houston and has spent most of his career in the Greater Houston area. Rene joined the Sander Engineering Corporation’s team in September of 2018.
