PAVING FACILITIES

Our experience includes design and construction phase services for pavement projects to include pavement replacement, boulevard expansions, and reconfiguration of existing roadway alignments.

Porter Road Improvements

The improvements to Porter Road include preliminary and design phase services for the reconstruction of an existing two-lane asphalt roadway section with open ditches to a concrete curb and gutter boulevard section, including road design, paving, transitions, and drainage facilities. The approximate length of the project is 0.5 miles. SEC was responsible for the preparation of the drainage analysis for the storm water outfall into Mason Creek Park, preparation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, preparation of a Storm Water Quality Management Plan, coordination with subcontractors for surveying, geotechnical and environmental services, and coordination design and construction with adjacent projects.

Mason Road Improvements

The improvements to Mason Road included preliminary and design phase services for the reconstruction of an existing two-lane asphalt roadway section with open ditches to a four-lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard section, including paving, transitions, drainage facilities. The approximate length of the project is 0.7 mile. Sander Engineering Corporation (“SEC”) was responsible for roadway design, the preparation of a drainage analysis to determine an appropriate storm sewer outfall location, the detention system to provide the project with a storm water outfall while having no impact on Little Cypress Creek, preparation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, preparation of a Storm Water Quality Management Plan, coordination with subcontractors for surveying, geotechnical and environmental services and coordination design and construction with adjacent projects.

Holzwarth Road Improvements

The improvements to Holzwarth Road included the preliminary and design phase services for the construction of a new, four-lane roadway with open ditches. The project scope included a traffic operations analysis, right-of-way determination, paving, drainage, appropriate transitions, signalization and storm water detention facilities.

Aside from general project management, Sander Engineering Corporation (“SEC”) was responsible for project alignment, preparation of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and Storm Water Quality Management Plan, and the analysis of the existing and proposed drainage and detention system to provide zero impact. SEC was also responsible for coordination of alignment surveying, including abstracting, metes and bounds descriptions for parcel takings, parcel staking; geotechnical investigation and environmental assessments; and coordination with TxDOT for the reconstruction of the traffic signals on Holzwarth at FM2920 and Spring-Cypress Road. The project length was approximately 0.75 miles and the new roadway was opened in January 2013.
